How much does a Rolex cost?
What a Rolex costs depends on the reference. This price list covers the 139 references our catalog records as in production. Retail is shown for 134 of them, starting at €6,000 for the Oyster Perpetual 28 276200. Retail here is the French retail list price from published January 2026 price lists (41watch, cross-checked against Monochrome Watches where both list it), not a US price; each reference page names its source and date. Pre-owned, we publish a range for 93 of them, with midpoints from $7,200 for the Lady-Datejust 279160 to $134,000 for the Cosmograph Daytona 126506.

Retail and pre-owned are different numbers
Retail is what the brand lists a new watch at, and it only exists for references in production. A pre-owned range is built from sold prices of that reference and covers every condition. When both are known, the table shows them side by side, so you can see whether buying new or pre-owned makes sense for the reference you want.
What moves the cost
The table lets you compare like with like. Within one model, the case metal moves the number most: compare a steel, a steel and gold, and a gold version in the case column and the range column. Complications matter too, so a Cosmograph Daytona chronograph or a GMT-Master II with its second time zone sits apart from a time-only Oyster Perpetual.
How to use this price list
- Sort the range column to see the lowest pre-owned midpoints first.
- Open a reference for its full page: specs, what moves its price, and the sold prices behind the range.
- For discontinued references, see our pre-owned Rolex and vintage Rolex pages.
- If price is your main filter, our cheapest Rolex page ranks every reference with a published range.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Rolex cost?
Pre-owned, the references on this list with a published range have midpoints from $7,200 for the Lady-Datejust 279160 to $134,000 for the Cosmograph Daytona 126506. Retail starts at €6,000 for the Oyster Perpetual 28 276200 among the references where we can cite it.
What is the retail price of a Rolex?
We show retail for 134 references on this list, taken from published retail price lists and shown in the list's own currency, each with the date it applied. The lowest is €6,000 for the Oyster Perpetual 28 276200. The retail column of the table fills in as prices are confirmed.
Why are pre-owned prices different from retail?
Retail is the brand's list price for a new watch. Pre-owned ranges come from sold results, so they reflect what buyers paid for that reference in its condition, with or without box and papers. The two can differ in either direction, which is why the table shows both where we have them.
Can you get a Rolex on a smaller budget?
The lowest pre-owned midpoint among the references on this list is $7,200 for the Lady-Datejust 279160. Discontinued references are not on this list; our cheapest Rolex page ranks every reference with a published range, old or new.
Is this the full Rolex price list?
It covers every reference our catalog records as in production. Discontinued references are not on it, because they are only sold pre-owned; you will find them on their collection pages and on our pre-owned Rolex page.
Why do some references show no price?
We only publish a pre-owned range when enough recent, sourced sale results back it, and a retail price only when we can cite it. A reference without either still lists its years, size and case, plus how many sold prices are on file.
Where to buy
- Dealers. Choose one that offers a return period and puts the reference, serial and condition in writing.
- Auction houses. Results are public after the sale, and a buyer's premium is added to the hammer price.
- Private sellers. Meet somewhere safe, check the papers against the watch, and pay in a traceable way.
Wherever you buy, have a watchmaker confirm the movement and serial before any return period ends. Each reference page above shows the recent sold prices we have on file, so you can compare an asking price with what the same reference has sold for.
